One of the adopted daughters of Isadora Duncan known as the Isadorables, Anna Duncan was born in Switzerland in 1895. She studied with Isadora in Berlin and then performed with her throughout Europe and the U.S. until the group disbanded in 1921. Anna Duncan later taught and worked at Brentano’s book store in New York until several years before her death in 1980. This extremely rare film was made by Dwight Godwin during the Ted Shawn Theatre’s inaugural season, documenting Duncan’s last major performance.
