Aspen Santa Fe Ballet
Under the direction of Tom Mossbrucker and Jean-Philippe Malaty, Aspen Santa Fe Ballet made its Pillow debut in 2003 and has since returned in three different seasons. The company's eclectic repertory for these visits has included works by Twyla Tharp, Moses Pendleton, William Forsythe, and Jorma Elo. Initially based solely in Aspen, Colorado, the company added a second home base in Santa Fe, New Mexico, in 2000. Stamping Ground is Jiří Kylián's exploration of Aboriginal culture and dance, seeking the universal qualities that link age-old cultures with contemporary ballet.
