ASzURe & Artists
Founded in 2002, ASzURe and Artists is a contemporary dance project under the direction of Canadian choreographer Aszure Barton, who trained and performed with the National Ballet of Canada. She has been commissioned to create works for Mikhail Baryshnikov, Les Ballets Jazz de Montréal, Benjamin Millepied, and on the Broadway stage. Her company first performed on the Pillow's Inside/Out stage in 2004, and returned for two consecutive seasons in the Doris Duke Theatre. Most recently, her work has been performed at the Pillow by Hubbard Street Dance Chicago.
