Son of the acclaimed dancer-choreographer-musician Margalit Oved, Barak Marshall was born and raised in Los Angeles. He studied social theory and philosophy at Harvard before making an accidental entrance into the dance world in 1995. In 1999, Marshall was invited by Ohad Naharin to become the Batsheva Dance Company's first-ever house choreographer. Created under the auspices of the Suzanne Dellal Centre in Tel Aviv, MONGER has been performed throughout Israel, Europe, and Asia, and it was seen in its U.S. premiere at Jacob's Pillow.
