LEO is a full-evening dance/theater work depicting an ordinary man whose world becomes physically unhinged. In the first moment of this video, the full stage picture is shown, with the live performer on the right and a real-time video image tilted 90 degrees and projected on the left side of the stage. This clip concentrates on the live action, but rotates it to approximate the effect achieved onstage. The performer seen here, the German-born Tobias Wegner, trained as an acrobat in Belgium and first conceived of this piece while still in school. Together with Canadian director Daniel Brière, he developed LEO to leave audiences wondering which way is up.
