London-born Peter Maxwell began training as a ballroom dancer at age five and would ultimately become one of the world’s leading authorities on Latin American dance before teaming up with Vicki Regan in 1979. Regan began her training in classical ballet, beginning competitive dancing in Montreal where she and her partner became the Canadian Professional Ballroom Dance Champions for five consecutive years. Together at the Pillow, they headlined the first full-evening program of ballroom dancing in the Festival’s history, entitled “Winning Teams: An Evening of Ballroom Theatre.” That program also included Pierre Dulaine & Yvonne Marceau as well as Gary and Lori Pierce.
