Xan Burley and Alex Springer are Brooklyn-based performers, choreographers, teachers, and arts administrators. Since 2008, their work has been presented at many venues in New York City, and they have staged dances on many university dance departments and professional companies throughout the U.S. Up until the time of the performance seen here, they were both members of Doug Varone and Dancers. The site-specific Set Zero (two) was commissioned by Jacob’s Pillow and the performance excerpted here was the work’s World Premiere.
