Conny Janssen began her career in the Netherlands as a dancer and made her choreographic debut in 1988, first achieving international recognition three years later with Eloï Eloï. This success led to the establishment of Conny Janssen Danst in Rotterdam in 1992, and the company remains strongly rooted in its home city while touring extensively throughout the world. Janssen’s work has a deep emotional core, and she chooses her dancers for their ability to combine technical skill with a strong stage presence. The company’s only U.S. exposure before the performance seen here consisted of two West Coast presentations of REBOUND.
