Infusing old-world tradition with new attitude, Juan Siddi Flamenco Santa Fe perpetuates the heritage of a centuries-old art form. Siddi was born and raised in Germany by his Italian father and Spanish mother, beginning his flamenco studies in childhood and making his debut at age nine. He emigrated to the U.S. in 2002 to join the company of María Benítez, and established his own group in 2007 after Benítez’s retirement. In 2014, Siddi’s company was incorporated into the overall structure of Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, and both companies shared a week together at the Pillow in 2016.
