Carrying on a great family tradition, José Greco II was born in Madrid to the legendary flamenco dancer José Greco. He studied at the National Ballet of Spain’s School of Dance and joined his sister Carmela’s company, Ballet Estampas, in 1982. Greco founded his own company in 1986, and he has since given command performances for the King and Queen of Spain, the Prince of Wales, and the Duke of Edinburgh. The performance seen here was his Jacob’s Pillow debut.
