Jumaane Taylor has been tap dancing since the age of seven in his native Chicago, first studying and now teaching at the Sammy Dyer School of the Theatre. His performing career began with M.A.D.D. Rhythms, a company he now serves as Assistant Director. He created Supreme Love to pay tribute to John Coltrane’s “A Love Supreme” and also honor the art of tap dance. Michelle Dorrance selected this work to be featured as part of TIRELESS : A Tap Dance Experience, highlighting some of the most exciting dancers on the scene today.
