Two seasoned Spanish dancers come together in this series of solos and duets that explore the emotional diversity of flamenco. Belén Maya is the daughter of two great artists, Carmen Mora and Mario Maya, with whose company she first performed, and she was invited by Carlos Saura to represent the new generation in his 1995 film, Flamenco. Rocío Molina began winning prizes in national dance contests at age 11, and she joined Compañía María Pagés in 2001, making her Pillow debut with that group in 2003. MUJERES (“Women”) was conceived and directed by Maya’s father, Mario Maya.
