Tanisha Jones

Tanisha Jones is an independent archivist and project manager with a specialization in dance and audio and moving image archiving.

From 2007-2022, she worked for the Jerome Robbins Dance Division at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. Throughout her career, she has participated in various professional organizations including serving on the Board of Trustees of the former Dance Heritage Coalition and Independent Media Arts Preservation, and mentoring fellows for the Association of Research Libraries’ Kaleidoscope Program and the Association of Moving Image Archivists’ Pathways Fellowship Program. Since 2022, she has been a freelance producer for the Criterion Collection and is currently a project manager for the Jerome Robbins Foundation. She received her B.A. in Anthropology from the University of California at Berkeley and her M.A. in Moving Image Archiving and Preservation from New York University.
