As an acclaimed exponent of Bob Fosse’s work, Dana Moore has been active on Broadway for decades, performing under Fosse’s direction in Dancin’ and in the 1986 revival of Sweet Charity. She has taught the Fosse style and reconstructed Fosse works all over the world, including as a faculty artist in The School at Jacob’s Pillow. Choreographer and beloved master teacher Chet Walker (1954-2022) presided over the Pillow’s Jazz and Musical Theatre programs for twenty years, and created this solo for Moore as part of a Pillow engagement entitled Jazz on Jazz. The performance seen here was presented as part of a celebratory tribute to Walker, accompanied by his own vocal track.
