Now an actor, choreographer, dancer, singer, and story-teller, Joe Orrach was Welterweight Boxing Champion of the U.S. Air Force before his performance career. He started as a tap dancer on the streets of New York, where Gregory Hines discovered him and offered him his first inside job. He went on to perform with such tap dancing greats as Jimmy Slyde, Savion Glover, the Nicholas Brothers, Honi Coles, and Charles “Cookie” Cook. Michelle Dorrance first saw him perform when she was 12 years old, and selected him to present this solo alongside Reona Seo, Jumaane Taylor, and Joseph Wiggan and Josette Wiggan-Freund in a full-evening presentation called TIRELESS: A Tap Dance Experience.
