With a title that translates as “tell me who I am,” Dime Quién Soy contextualizes flamenco dance within today’s world. Its choreographer, Nélida Tirado is a New Yorker with roots in Puerto Rico, and trained at Ballet Hispánico from the age of six. She now boasts an impressive list of credits on both stage and screen, including an appearance in Lin Manuel Miranda’s film, In the Heights. Tirado originally presented a solo version of Dime Quién Soy at Joe’s Pub in New York City in 2014, and later workshopped this group version in a Pillow Lab residency.
