Founded in 2017, Prehistoric Body Theater is a collective experimental performance company based in Central Java, Indonesia, seen here in their U.S. debut. Their work fuses Indonesian traditional performance and cultural knowledge with cutting-edge stagecraft and collaborative research involving an international group of mentor paleontologists. The ensemble’s 15 Indonesian performing artists share a passion for nature conservation, education, and experimental performance-making. Ghosts of Hell Creek tells the story of the last feathered raptor dinosaur to prowl the jungles of prehistoric Montana 66 million years ago.
