Joshua Bergasse is a New York-based choreographer for stage and screen with extensive Broadway credits. Married to longtime New York City Ballet principal Sara Mearns, Bergasse fashioned this light-hearted suite for Mearns and two of her NYCB colleagues: the recently-retired principal Gonzalo Garcia and corps dancer Gilbert Bolden III. While Garcia and Bolden both made their Pillow debuts with this world premiere, Mearns has an extensive Pillow performing history which includes a specially-produced program entitled Sara Mearns: Beyond Ballet and an appearance with Lori Belilove & The Isadora Duncan Dance Company.
