A principal dancer with New York City Ballet since 2007, Daniel Ulbricht founded Stars of American Ballet to present high caliber performances as well as educational and outreach programs. His company made its Pillow debut in 2014 with a cornucopia of ballets by Benjamin Millepied, Justin Peck, Christopher Wheeldon, Emery LeCrone, and Larry Keigwin, capped by the Jerome Robbins classic, Fancy Free. The engagement was so successful that Ulbricht returned in 2015 with an entirely different program, including Justin Peck’s male quartet, Distractions. In honor of Jerome Robbins’s centennial in 2018, the company presented an all-Robbins evening featuring the first Pillow performances of Interplay since Ballet Theatre’s production in 1949.
