While Caleb Teicher began their professional career in 2011 as a founding member of Michelle Dorrance’s celebrated company, Dorrance Dance, their Jacob’s Pillow appearances began the year before when they were a participant in both the Tap Program and the Jazz/Musical Theatre Dance Programs in The School at Jacob’s Pillow. They has proven their versatility through performances with Chase Brock, The Bang Group, Sally Silvers, and an international tour of West Side Story, and their work has been commissioned by The Joyce Theater, New York City Center, Works & Process @ The Guggenheim, and The Kennedy Center. In 2019, their company presented the work seen here as part of the Season Opening Gala, returning later that season to perform More Forever with composer/pianist Conrad Tao, an artistic partnership that reconvened in 2024 to present Rhapsody in Blue.
