This French company (based in Grenoble) has been performing the work of Jean-Claude Gallotta since 1981 while taking its name from a sort of Everyman who may never have existed. Gallotta comes from a visual arts background, and he was strongly influenced by the work of Robert Wilson, Meredith Monk, and Lucinda Childs, while his approach to structuring time, space, and movement was shaped by his studies with Merce Cunningham. This show brings together a group of ten dancers who intertwine in passionate twos, tender threes, and unusual fours.
