Born and raised in Minnesota, Annie Hanauer has been based largely in London since 2008, when she began her European dance career with Candoco Dance Company. Wearing a prosthetic left arm and identifying as disabled, she has been functioning as a freelance contemporary dance artist since 2014. Inspired by Switzerland’s historical artist community, Monte Verità, A space for all our tomorrows holds a collection of voices and perspectives on utopia, generated through conversations with disabled and non-disabled artists, workshop participants, and students across Switzerland and internationally over the course of two years.
