While Caleb Teicher began their professional career in 2011 as a founding member of Michelle Dorrance’s celebrated company, Dorrance Dance, their Jacob’s Pillow appearances began the year before when they were a participant in both the Tap Program and the Jazz/Musical Theatre Dance Programs in The School at Jacob’s Pillow. They has proven their versatility through performances with Chase Brock, The Bang Group, Sally Silvers, and an international tour of West Side Story, and their work has been commissioned by The Joyce Theater, New York City Center, Works & Process @ The Guggenheim, and The Kennedy Center. Caleb Teicher & Company helped launch the 2019 Pillow season with a performance of Bzzz on the Season Opening Gala, while Teicher teamed up with composer-pianist Conrad Tao for the 2024 Gala performance seen here. Teicher and Tao met when they were both teenagers supported by the YoungArts Foundation, and Tao has since been commissioned by the New York Philharmonic and performed with major orchestras around the world. They previously appeared together at the Pillow in More Forever.
