Ephrat Asherie Dance (EAD) is an urban dance theater company dedicated to a new movement language combining the rawness of underground styles with a contemporary aesthetic. Drawing from breaking, house, hip-hop, and vogue, EAD explores narrative aspects of these social and club traditions, placing them in a concert dance context. Both performers seen here have appeared extensively with Rennie Harris Puremovement. After having debuted in 2013 on the Inside/Out series, here EAD was teamed with The Wondertwins and Decadancetheatre in an exclusive production known as Unreal Hip-Hop. In 2018, EAD presented a world premiere entitled Nazareth.
