Pittsburgh-born Kyle Abraham began training in his home city, studying classical cello, piano, and the visual arts as well as dance. He later earned degrees from SUNY Purchase and NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, and performed with the companies of David Dorfman, Nathan Trice, and Bill T. Jones. His own company, Kyle Abraham/Abraham.In.Motion, includes dancers from various disciplines and diverse personal backgrounds. Camille A. Brown received her B.F.A. in Dance from the North Carolina School of the Arts and enjoyed a long-lasting professional association with Ronald K. Brown/Evidence from 2001 to 2007. Her works for other companies include two commissions for the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, while her own company’s Pillow debut engagement in 2010 included two world premieres. The work seen here grew out of a Creative Development Residency at the Pillow and was presented as part of an exclusive program billed as Kyle and Camille.
