This world premiere was created to celebrate The Royal Ballet’s inaugural performances at Jacob’s Pillow, taking special advantage of the Ted Shawn Theatre’s unique stage doors. Under the directorship of Kevin O’Hare since 2012, The Royal Ballet unites tradition and innovation in world-class performances at London’s Royal Opera House in Covent Garden. The company’s extensive repertory embraces 19th-century classics, the singular legacy of works by Founder Choreographer Frederick Ashton and Principal Choreographer Kenneth MacMillan and a new canon of ballets by Resident Choreographer Wayne McGregor, and Artistic Associate Christopher Wheeldon.
